Southern Vermont – A Mental Health Facility in Southern VT has an immediate opening for a full time, adult inpatient Psychiatrist. The ideal candidate would also have an interest in performing ECT, with the possibility of starting a trans-cranial magnetic stimulation program (rTMS) also a consideration. The position offers a comprehensive salary and benefit package. The patient volume averages between 8 and 10 inpatients per day, with about 30 minutes spent with each patient daily. Call is 1/10 during the week, and minimal (paid) weekend &, holiday call days per year are required. Additional call is available and paid on a per diem basis.Located in Southeastern Vermont, this facility is nestled in the Connecticut River Valley at the base of the Green Mountains. Residents enjoy numerous parks and recreational activities from downhill skiing to the Strolling of the Heifers to the Vermont Life Wine and Harvest Festival. Central proximity in New England and being located just off Interstate 91 provides for easy access to the Coast of Maine, Boston, and New York. Amherst, Northampton, and Pioneer Valley towns are within commuter distance.
